everytime i get an unknown caller, [this being a mother asking bout tuition] i will always be asked whether i'm chinese. do i actually sound chinese? i know for a fact that most of time, i don't really sound malay. hah. it is only when i'm in the midst of malay-speaking people that i will start to blabber in incorrigible malay nonsense.

come to think of it, mira is the only one whom i am comfortable enough to speak malay to for hours. oh yea, i miss you too sweetie! study hard, all right?

i don't "leh", "lah", "lor" much now. its so cheena-ey. especially not when i'm speaking to parents. so i am NOT chinese. i've always liked the way i speak though. heh.

which is why my prerequisite for a boyfriend has always been that he must speak good/acceptable/immaculate English!
